With a speed of 199.706mph, Mark Martin captured the Coors Light Pole Award for Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway. This is Martin’s 55th career pole, but his first pole at MIS.  Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson round out the top three.  Of note, Parker Klingerman qualified for Sam Hornish, Jr. who is focusing on his NASCAR Nationwide Series ride in Canada but will be in the car on Sunday. This was Kligerman’s first time qualifying for the Cup Series.
