1. Cleveland Cavaliers: Nerlens Noel
College: Kentucky/Age: 19/HT: 6’11″/WT: 205 lbs/POS: C
Otto Porter is the perfect fit here for Cleveland, but I doubt they’d pull the trigger on him with the first overall pick. Even with his injury concerns, Noel would be a nice fit with this Cavs team. Pair him up with Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson and you have a very nice young front line to go with Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters.
2. Orlando Magic: Trey Burke
College: Michigan/Age: 20/HT: 6’1″/WT: 190 lbs/POS: PG
Orlando needs a star, but there is a serious lack of star power in this year’s draft class. Burke is the one prospect whom everyone thinks is guaranteed to turn into a very solid NBA player. Burke is a great leader, and could potentially be the ring leader for the young Magic core or Tobias Harris, Nikola Vuvecic, and Mo Harkless.

The New York Knicks 2012-2013 campaign was the best season the team has had in the past 13 years.
This year was the first time the Knicks had won a playoff series since the 1999-2000 season.
It was the first time the Knicks had won the Atlantic Division since the year I was born, 1993.
Carmelo Anthony finished third in the MVP voting. J.R. Smith won the NBA’s 6thMan of Year Award. Tyson Chandler was named to the NBA’s All Defensive First Team.
But I’m here to tell you that this Knicks team is a lost cause.
Let’s start off with their roster. Almost all of the Knicks that received serious playing time this year are still under contract for next season. Read the rest of this entry »

If you like old school, bruising basketball, then this Memphis/San Antonio series was made for you. These two teams are extremely similar. They both have very good point guards, wing players that know their roles, and big men that can dominate the game.
This series comes down to two things: 1. Can Memphis keep Tony Parker out of the lane? 2: Can San Antonio matchup with Gasol and Randolph without playing Tiago Splitter?

Miami was the best offensive team in the NBA this year. Indiana was the best defensive in the NBA this year. The Heat really struggle to rebound the basketball, while the Pacers are known for dominating the glass on both ends of the floor. On paper, the Pacers have the perfect team to beat the reigning NBA champs, but it s much easier said than done.
This series comes down to one player: Dwyane Wade.

The Golden State Warriors were the feel good story of the NBA Playoffs this year.
The Warriors, who were led by a core of young players and a second year head coach, upset the third-seeded Nuggets before losing in the Conference Semifinals to the second-seeded San Antonio Spurs.
Even if David Lee had been healthy for the entire playoffs, I’m not sure the Warriors would have been able to beat the Spurs.
San Antonio’s veterans exposed Golden State’s inexperience on multiple occasions, and in the end, the Spurs were just an overall better team.
However, the future is bright for the Warriors franchise, especially if they have a great offseason.

Marc Gasol’s game was transformed immensely since he entered the league in the 2008-2009 season.
Gasol started out as just a big body off the bench, and has turned into the Defensive Player of the Year and an NBA All-Star.
He has developed a sweet midrange jump shot, some solid post moves, and a basketball IQ that is higher than any other center’s in the NBA.
While his transformation on the court has been remarkable, it fails to scratch the surface in comparison to the transformation in his appearance.
Let’s take a look at the progression of Marc Gasol’s appearance throughout the years.

With last nights 88-84 loss, Kevin Durant and the top seeded Thunder were eliminated from the playoffs.
Last season, Oklahoma City reached the NBA Finals before losing to the Miami Heat in 5 games.
The Thunder’s chance of making it back to the finals took a serious blow in the first round when Russell Westbrook tore the meniscus in his right knee. Without Westbrook, the Thunder just didn’t have enough offensive firepower to get past Memphis’ tough defense.
Russell Westbrook might be the most scrutinized player in the NBA. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.2 assists, and 7.4 assists per game this season, and was stilled ripped apart by virtually every basketball analyst out there after every game.
However, after watching the Thunder play without him, I’m pretty sure that Westbrook’s haters are all hiding under rocks now.

I’m screwed.
I have never become so disgusted over a Mets team in my twenty-three years or so that I’ve been legitimately following them. First of all, the clown featured in the photo above needs to go ASAP. The team clearly doesn’t give a shit about anything he has to say and he has no clue how to run a baseball team, never has. He brought some positive vibes here in 2011 and temporarily changed the culture of the clubhouse but he’s done now. I don’t care who they replace him with because this season is fucked anyway. The 2013 NBA draft class is being called the weakest group of prospects in the past decade. There isn’t a clear-cut #1 pick, and almost every scout has a differing opinion on just about every prospect.
With that being said, the bad NBA teams will have to make due with what they have.
So here are my top 11 NBA draft prospects for the 2013 draft.
