The New York Knicks 2012-2013 campaign was the best season the team has had in the past 13 years.
This year was the first time the Knicks had won a playoff series since the 1999-2000 season.
It was the first time the Knicks had won the Atlantic Division since the year I was born, 1993.
Carmelo Anthony finished third in the MVP voting. J.R. Smith won the NBA’s 6thMan of Year Award. Tyson Chandler was named to the NBA’s All Defensive First Team.
But I’m here to tell you that this Knicks team is a lost cause.

Last night the New York Knicks all wore black to the game 5 because Kenyon Martin told everyone it was the Boston Celtics funeral. Too bad JR Smith played like he was already dead. After the game, Celtics bench warmer Jordan Crawford looks like he yelled at Carmelo Anthony “That MFer f’d your wife!”.
No one is exactly sure what sparked this comment, but something clearly is going on between the Celtics and Carmelo’s wife, LaLa. At first, the “Honey Nut Cheerio’s” comment by Kevin Garnett seemed funny, but now this is the second incident involving a Celtics player talking about Melo’s wife. I’m starting to think that maybe something did happen between a Celts player and LaLa. Why else would they keep bringing it up?

The Knicks/Celtics game last night never really felt like a game. Once again, the Celtics struggled to score the basketball while the Knicks rained 3-pointers. The highlight of the night though was in the fourth quarter when J.R. Smith threw a vicious elbow at Jason Terry.
Smith had the ball in the corner, Terry swiped at it, Smith didn’t like that, and retaliated with a UFC quality elbow right to the chin. Smith ended up receiving a flagrant two foul and was ejected from the game
Speaking of the UFC, Jon “Bones” Jones has some of the nastiest elbows in the sport, and he happens to be fighting tonight against Chael Sonnen…any chance Jones taught Smith that elbow?

J.R. Smith is on his way back to the NBA from China and according to ESPN his most likely destination is either Lob City or New York. While the Clippers can only sign him to a minimum salary, the Knicks have the cap space to sign him to a more lucrative deal for the midlevel exception of a pro-rated $2.5 million. Former teammates from each squad are recruiting the combo guard with CP3 and Kenyon Martin egging Smith to go west while crash test buddy Carmelo Anthony is telling him to come to the concrete jungle.
