I am going to apologize for last week, as I was in San Francisco covering the World Series. I was not able to get any studying last week and had to do my picks and article in twelve hours. This week I put extra time in and got some great locks for you guys this week.

Half of the NFL football season is over and I am starting to see teams separate themselves fro the rest of the league. Every year I make my final four prediction half way through the season. (6-0 picking AFC and NFC championships since 2009). The famous quote was “defense wins championships” but not in today’s flag football league. Defenses are not intimidating anymore as they are not allowed to hit like the old days. The soon to be new quote (which the NFL loves) “offense wins championships.” My football mother is going to hate to read that one, as she is from the old school and loves hard nose football. She used to say “if you can’t take the hit, you shouldn’t be out there playing.” The league has evolved and you must have success throwing to compete. My final four teams all consist of our leagues top passers. We very well could see a Super Bowl Manning vs Manning! If so we can finally stop the talks of who is the best Manning.

Last season TSB kicked the NFL season off with Hook and I picking the over or under from Las Vegas on each NFL team. Well, we’re back at it again. But this time with a larger panel. Along with Hook (@HookTSB) and myself (@ttlsportsblog), our resident NASCAR expert Krissy (@NASCARKrissy) and NBA/Breaking Bad aficionado Hasib (@BaggyDizzle) have weighed in as well. Newcomers to the TSB staff, Jorel (@JorelPetree) and Dave (@DaveSlavin) have sent in their locks as well.
These win totals were taken off sportsbook.com less than a week ago. So if a few of them are off, I apologize as the lines do move.

Chad Ochocinco Johnson and soon to be ex-wife Evelyn Lozada have been married for 41 days. After the alleged headbutt and consequential domestic abuse charge, Lozada has filed for divorce, breaking Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries record of their 72 day long marriage. Lozada gained fame as a “star” of Basketball Wives, as she was once engaged to former NBA star Antoine Walker. It’s a well known fact that Walker is broke as a joke, so naturally Lozada would move on to find another professional athlete to settle down with. Just like every girls dream courtship, Lozada and Johnson first corresponded with each other on twitter, and the rest is history. One day after being arrested for domestic battery, the Miami Dolphins have released veteran wide receiver Chad Johnson. The ‘Phins initially chose Chad Johnson over Plaxico Burress, Terrel Owens, Braylon Edwards and others in part because he doesn’t get in trouble off the field. Child, please.
