It’s never too early for Fantasy Football. After talking to a friend from D.C., a list was compiled of the Top 10 Picks for the 2013 Draft. But after 6 tries at writing this, I realized one thing: this year it’s a crap shoot, although your #1 pick is unanimous…. Read the rest of this entry »

The 2013 NFL schedule was released last night. On Thursday, September 5th, the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens will open the season as they face off against the Denver Broncos in a rematch of last year’s divisional playoff game. The defending champs have been kicking off the season at home in recent years, but the Ravens will go on the road to face the Broncos due to a scheduling conflict with the Baltimore Orioles that could not be resolved. The schedule is full of other intriguing games as well.

Alright you Massholes, after a 1 week hiatus TSB’s WAGs Wednesday is back.  There was no post on the 4th of July because I was busy grilling, slamming beers, and watching fireworks in honor of ‘Merica’s freedom.  Read the rest of this entry »

In this file photo taken Jan. 1, 2012, New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (85) cannot grasp a pass against the Buffalo Bills during their NFL football game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. (Taken by AP Photo)

Chad Ochocinco’s career with the New England Patriots has come to an end.

On Thursday, the New England Patriots announce they have released veteran wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Formerly Chad Johnson, he is coming off the worst season of his NFL career, making just 15 catches for 276 yards in 15 games with the Patriots. Since joining the Patriots, he was never able to figure out the offensive system and with the team bringing back Jabar Gaffney and Donte’ Stallworth, both favorites of Tom Brady, Ochocinco’s days were definitely looking numbered.

Since the Patriots made the announced, Ochocinco has changed his bio on Twitter to read “Unemployed Black Man” and send out a tweet: ”Thoroughly enjoyed the oppurtunity(yes, I know this is mispelled, I ripped it right from his Twitter account) to play for the ”Patriot” organization… fans were … wicked awesome, I wish all of you the best…”

Now the question of everyone’s mind is: Where will the most colorful man in the league take the show?

As a Denver Bronco fan, I hope he stays FAR away from Peyton Manning.  If he couldn’t figure out the offensive system in New England, how would Ochocinco react to working with Manning, who is a bit more demanding than Brady. Plus the Bronco’s are turning into a very business-first organization since Manning joined the team earlier this year.

Wherever Ochocinco goes, I just hope he documents it on Twitter! The man sure is a hoot off the field.

Should the Patriots even bother showing up on Sunday?   That’s the question that I have been asking myself for about a week now.

Living in the New York City area allows me to listen to the best sports talk radio anywhere.  90% of the people who call up WFAN (Sorry 1050 ESPN Radio.  If your signal can’t reach 30 miles outside Manhattan and has hosts like Michael Kay and Stephen A. Smith, I’m not listening to you.  Those two make Mike Francesa sound like the nicest guy on the radio.) are knowledgeable fans who make good points.  Sure, you’ll get a few per hour that live in a bubble, but that’s to be expected.

So when the line came out Monday of the Patriots -3 against the Giants in the Super Bowl, I thought it was a little low, but -3 was fine with me.  Then came the newspaper articles and phone calls.

“Deah ain’t no way dat duh GMEN ain’t blowin’ da Pats out!  Brady sux, he ain’t dat good.  Eli beat em duh last two times day played!” Read the rest of this entry »

@ttlsportsblog – “On the road again…..”  The Ravens have had this as their theme song for what seems to be about 10 years.

After 7 consecutive road playoff games, the Ravens finally got a home game last week and beat the depleted Houston Texans.   With Joe Flacco playing another less than stellar game, saftey Ed Reed was the latest to call him out publicly.  It’s bad enough when your own teammates are calling you out, but how about one of your neighbors?   Read the rest of this entry »
