History has told the Cleveland faithful to be patient in player development. This year might show to be the most difficult. With a strong draft the hopes are up on Lake Erie, but they are always waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under them. With the youngest projected offensive starters, they will fail and succeed together. This year is going to hold a lot of firsts for this young team.

It starts with the drafting of a Heisman trophy winning bowling ball of a running back. Richardson has to prove he is going to be durable enough to take the pounding of the AFC North. He is going to be the workhorse and he will show it. The quarterback platoon has plagued this franchise for over a decade. It now seems to rest on a twenty-eight year old ex baseball player. He have already heard he has a cannon and great accuracy, but will the game speed be too fast? Will he make more mistakes under pressure or scramble well and make the big play? Only time will tell.
